About Imoshian

Hi there! I’m Cindy Koon, the founder of Imoshian, and I’m excited to share my Mauritius with you.

My story is a bit like Mauritius itself – a mix of different cultures. I was born in Taiwan but grew up here in Mauritius. With Mauritian grandparents of both Indian and Chinese ancestry, I’ve always felt connected to the island’s diverse heritage.

After working in tourism for years, I realized something important: while Mauritius has beautiful beaches like many islands, it’s our vibrant, multicultural way of life that makes us truly special. That’s why I started Imoshian. I want to show you the Mauritius I know and love – a place full of warm people, rich traditions, and amazing experiences you won’t find anywhere else.

I believe the best way to understand a place is to experience it firsthand with the people who call it home. We’ll take you beyond the tourist spots and into the heart of our island life. You’ll meet our people, taste our food, dance to our music, and really feel what makes Mauritius unique.
